Welcome to the Vasudha -स्नेहेन सन्नद्धम्,. Our circle is built on a foundation of trust, empathy, and mutual respect. To ensure this remains a safe and sacred space for everyone, we require all participants to read, understand, and agree to the following terms and conditions. By signing this document, you are making a commitment to yourself and to every other member of our community.

 

Section 1: The Sanctity of Confidentiality

 

This is the most critical principle of Vasudha.

1.⁠ ⁠What is Said Here, Stays Here: You agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all stories, experiences, feelings, and personal information shared by any participant within the Dialogue lab.

2.⁠ ⁠No Gossip, Ever: You pledge never to discuss, allude to, or share the content of another participant's sharing outside of the circle—not with partners, family members, friends, or colleagues. This includes sharing in a way that could identify the person, even if names are not used.

3.⁠ ⁠The "Vegas Rule" Does Not Apply: The common phrase "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" implies a secret that can be hinted at. In our circle, we do not even hint that stories were shared. The existence of the stories themselves is confidential.

4.⁠ ⁠Own Your Own Story: You are free to share your own experiences and insights gained from the circle, but you must do so without mentioning, referencing, or implying the participation or stories of any other member.

Section 2: Data Privacy and Information Handling

 

1.⁠ ⁠Collection of Data: The personal data we collect (e.g., your name, email address, emergency contact) is used solely for the administration of the Vasudha स्नेहेन सन्नद्धम् (e.g., communication, session logistics, and ensuring participant safety).

2.⁠ ⁠Non-Disclosure of Private Data: We will not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others. Your data is accessible only to the designated facilitators for operational purposes.

3.⁠ ⁠Session Recordings: For the protection of all participants, audio and video recording of sessions is strictly prohibited unless explicit, written consent is obtained from every single participant for a specific, agreed-upon purpose.

 

Section 3: Creating a Safe Space

 

1.⁠ ⁠Non-Judgment: You agree to listen and share from a place of non-judgment - withholding from putting into the framework of right/wrong values. We honor each person's truth and perspective without criticism or unsolicited advice.

2.⁠ ⁠Respectful Communication: You will communicate with respect and kindness, using "I" statements to speak from your own experience.

3.⁠ ⁠Right to Pass: You always have the right to remain silent and pass on your turn to share without needing to provide an explanation.

4.⁠ ⁠Zero Tolerance: We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or any form of abusive behavior. Facilitators reserve the right to respectfully remove any participant who violates this safe space.

Section 4: Disclaimer of Liability

 

1.⁠ ⁠Not a Substitute for Therapy: The Vasudha स्नेहेन सन्नद्धम् is a peer-supported community space. It is not a substitute for professional therapy, counseling, or medical treatment. The facilitators are not acting as licensed therapists or healthcare providers.

2.⁠ ⁠Personal Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your own well-being and the choices you make based on your participation in the circle. The facilitators and other participants cannot be held liable for any emotional distress or life decisions you make following the sessions.

3.⁠ ⁠Emotional Safety Warning: While we strive to maintain a supportive environment, sharing and listening to deep personal stories can sometimes bring up strong emotions. You are encouraged to seek professional support if you find yourself needing help beyond what the circle can provide.
